Married for 28 years and proud parents of their son, Gabriel, Dr. Russ and Dr. Jennifer Schroeder bring a wealth of both personal and professional experience to their speaking at this marriage retreat. Their shared journey includes two decades as full-time pastors, where they served in a variety of roles including youth and children's pastors, church planters, associate pastors, and senior pastors. This extensive ministry experience, coupled with their own commitment to a lasting partnership, provides a rich foundation of practical wisdom and relatable insights for strengthening marriages.

As lifelong learners and dedicated students of marriage, Russ and Jennifer actively leverage the many valuable resources available, continually seeking to deepen their understanding of what makes great marriages thrive. This ongoing commitment to learning and growth informs their approach, offering attendees not just theoretical concepts, but practical, experience-based strategies gleaned from both their ministry and their own journey of building a strong and flourishing marriage.

Furthermore, Russ and Jennifer have extensive experience coaching numerous couples through various stages of their relationships. They are also frequently invited to share their insights and encouragement at other marriage events, equipping couples with tools and perspectives for building stronger, more fulfilling unions.

Eric Lee Brumley

& Past Falling Closer Marriage Conference Alumni
Since 2008, Eric Lee Brumley has been actively performing and recording his original, gritty, soulful music in venues throughout the US, including SoulFest, HillFest, River Rock Music Festival, and many more.
Eric led worship at Outreach Chapel in Everett, MA for 2 years, and is currently leading worship at Broken Chains Biker Church in Taunton, MA where he has served for the last 12 years under the leadership and guidance of Pastor Thomas Iddings.
In 2011, an independent collection, Rough Cuts was recorded as a practice guide for musicians in an upcoming tour.
In 2018, Eric released an independent single entitled To the Other Side with Ari Mendes.
In 2019, Eric Lee Brumley was signed to Old Bear Records, the New York label that released Eric’s debut studio album, The Devil Goes Fish’n Too: A Gospel Anthology, produced by Chris Hoisington of the Brothers McClurg.
From 2021-2023, Eric was the lead singer of a Chris Cornell tribute band called Say Hello II Heaven under the stage name Jericho Matthews. Eric used this platform to advance the gospel of hope by sharing his personal testimony in venues around New England.
And in 2024, Eric Lee Brumley’s next full-length album, Electric Chair, was released, along with several singles including a contribution to the second volume of Bellsburg, a tribute to world-renowned Christian artist, Rich Mullins.

We, at Falling Closer, are overjoyed to welcome Eric, his guitarist Josh and their wives to join us again this year as our special Worship team for the entire Falling Closer Marriage Conference. Last year, Eric & Josh's Worship sessions were incredibly powerful and not only invited the Holy Spirit into the room, but you could feel the room was filled with the amazing feeling of God!
