The 2026 Falling Closer

Marriage is one of God’s most meaningful gifts, and it grows stronger when couples make time to be intentional. Marriage Moments is a new four-part Falling Closer experience created to help you step away from the routine and refocus on the relationship that matters so much. Each gathering offers an opportunity to laugh, learn, connect, and make memories with your spouse.

Every Marriage Moment brings a fresh setting and a practical focus - from communication and care to teamwork, joy, forgiveness, and renewal. Couples can expect engaging activities, short faith-based teaching, and unhurried time to simply enjoy being together. Come for one event or make a season of it by joining us for all four.

Marriage is not meant to be navigated alone; it is a partnership built through everyday choices to listen, serve, encourage, and grow. These events are designed to offer practical tools for those choices in a welcoming and meaningful environment.

No matter what season your marriage is in, there is always room to grow closer. Whether you are celebrating a strong season, working through a difficult one, or simply hoping to protect time for one another, Marriage Moments is a chance to invest in your relationship with purpose. As couples, we are called to love with patience, kindness, and grace—the kind of love described in 1 Corinthians 13:4–7.

We invite you to make room on the calendar for your marriage this year. Join us for shared experiences, biblical encouragement, and meaningful moments that can help strengthen your “we.” Come as you are, make space for what matters most, and leave a little closer than when you arrived.

This year, Falling Closer is becoming a series of four meaningful Marriage Moments—each designed to help you and your spouse grow closer to God and one another. Come for one evening or make a commitment to the whole journey.

MOMENT #1
September 18: Build Together
Expectations & Communication

SPEAKERS:

Pastor Brittany & Dan Forthun

Practice communication in a lighthearted mini “Amazing Race,” then work together to create a fun keepsake. A short, faith-based teaching will help couples understand expectations, communicate more clearly, and set their marriage up for success. Please note use of your own vehicle for this Marriage Moment may be required.

MOMENT #3
November 20: Play Together
The Joy of Marriage

SPEAKERS:

Tom & Crystal Isabelle, Pastor Scott & Nancy Edson, Elders Mike & Rilda Corriveau

Marriage is meant to be fun, and it is worth investing in wisely. Join Tom and Crystal, Scott and Nancy, and Mike and Rilda for an evening of fun, food, fellowship, and practical encouragement as we explore the fruits of your labor in marriage: intimacy, finances, and family. Through Biblical truths and helpful tools for forgiveness, rebuilding trust, and working together, you will be encouraged to strengthen and repair. Transportation not included.

MOMENT #2
October 23-24: Rest Together
Perseverance & Care

SPEAKERS:

Pastor Ben & Rebecca Butler

Enjoy a refreshing overnight getaway at the Inn at Montpelier focused on perseverance and care in marriage. You will receive a short, practical teaching rooted in Biblical tools to help you nurture your relationship, recognizing that every marriage and spouse is unique. Then enjoy a date night of your choosing, a night at the hotel, and unhurried time together. Transportation not included.

MOMENT #4
December 6: Renew Together
Repair & Regrowth

SPEAKERS:

Pastors Michael & Mary Murray

Storms will come, but your marriage can grow stronger through them. Join Pastor Mike and Mary for a catered dinner and an encouraging evening focused on Cleanup and Regrowth. Discover practical Biblical tools for forgiveness, rebuilding trust, and working together to repair what has been broken.

Investment: $50 Per Couple
